Funny man and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham is coming to the Calgary Stampede this summer and will be performing with the Virgin Mobile Concert Series.

Dunham is bringing his hilarity (and puppets) to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday, July 17.

Adam Oppenheim with Stampede Concerts says this is the first time a comedian will perform during the Stampede.

“Jeff Dunham is an extremely talented comedian and a touring force of nature.  There is no doubt the Saddledome will be filled with laughter,” he said in a statement.

Many of Dunham’s TV specials have been the highest rated programming on Comedy Central in the United States and his videos have received nearly one billion views on YouTube.

TIME Magazine named him “the most popular comedian in the United States.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 5 and start at $50.
