Jasper in January hasĀ kicked off its 30th year as of Thursday, with three weekends full of art, music, dance, food, and winter activities taking place in the mountain paradise.

Some events are ticketed while others are free to attend, but with over 40 different things to do throughout the three weeks of festivities, we’re sure you’ll find something to enjoy.
A few of the highlights are the annual Chilli Cook-Off, ice climbing lessons, dark sky snowshoe tours, medieval martial arts workshops, and a pond hockey tournament.

The festival started on January 10 and ends on January 27, with most of the events takingĀ place during the weekends ā though there are more than a few things to do during weekdays in the area, including snowshoeing, skiing, and ice skating.
