Massive human-sized jelly fish spotted off the coast of England (PHOTOS)

The ocean is filled with mysterious creatures — and the size of some of them will surprise you.

Wildlife biologist and BBC Earth television presenter Lizzie Daly encountered a massive human-sized barrel jellyfish while diving in Falmouth, Cornwall located off England’s southwestern coast earlier this week.

“Diving with a giant barrel jellyfish! I could not think of a better way to celebrate the end of #WildOceanWeek.” wrote Daly on Instagram.

“What an unforgettable experience, I know barrel jellyfish get really big in size but I have never seen anything like it before!”

Barrel jellyfish are the largest jellyfish found in the UK seas and usually weigh up to 35 kilos, according to the BugLife UK.
