When you were at Pemberton Festival this year, did you find hooking up exceedingly difficult, tiresome, even boring? Well two new apps promise to take the guess work out of getting it on at music festivals.
Glance and FanMatch launched within days of each other and both use a Tinder-style platform (although without the advantage of verified profiles) that allows you to match with people who are attending the same festivals as you are.
ClubZone’s blog says Glance is only available in Amsterdam at the moment, but is beta testing in other markets and countries, while FanMatch is based out of Chicago and caters largely to an American audience.
“[Glance] connects you to like minded people attending the same festivals and club nights as you. Discover events near you, attend to see who’s going and anonymously like to break the ice. If someone likes you back it’s a match and you could go together! Bye bye awkward dates with people you have nothing in common with. Hello event driven dating,” Glance designer Jeroen Jochems told ClubZone.
FanMatch costs money – it’s $3.99 for a week of chatting or $19.99 for three months – but can be tailored specifically for hookups, dating, or friendship.
