Have your artwork showcased to 100,000 at this year’s Calgary Stampede (CONTEST)

Calling all Calgary artists and photographers — there’s a huge opportunity to have your hard work seen by thousands and thousands of people, and it could all be yours! 

Grab your tools, start brainstorming, and get ready to submit an art piece to the Dream Home Artist Project from Homes by Avi. For the past 17 years, Homes by Avi has invited artists to decorate their annual Dream Home, and now it’s your turn!

It couldn’t be easier, each selected piece will be displayed for thousands of visitors at the Stampede Rotary Dream Home during the 2025 Calgary Stampede. This year’s dream home theme is “Moody Retro Organic,” and submissions are now open.

This is your chance to display all your hard work and level up your passion.

Take it from last year’s winner Shawni Tolman, who saw a boost in sales, networking, and meaningful connection.

“My wildest dreams could not have prepared me for the aftermath. The commission orders! Holy cow! And most of them being local, it has allowed me to connect more to the Calgarian community, and create art for them,” Tolmon recalls.

Each year, Homes by Avi’s Dream Home Artist Project has stood as an incredible platform that showcases local artists’ work to the world.

After all, the Calgary Stampede attracts visitors from across the globe — more than 100,000 throughout the 10-day celebration  — just think of how many eyes will be gazing up at your handiwork! 

How to submit your artwork

Participants are invited to create a two-dimensional original body of work, within their medium of choice (painting, drawing, photography, textiles, etc.)  and then submit 5-6 photos of the work to enter the Dream Home Artist Contest.
