Here's a first look at Calgary's brand-new holiday festival with over one million lights

If you’re on the hunt for a festive outing in Calgary, Holiday Wonder has you covered. With over one million lights, it’s truly a magical experience.

The festival kicked off at the BMO Centre, transforming 100,000 sq. ft. into a festive winter wonderland for visitors of all ages from Nov. 27, 2025, to Jan. 3, 2026.

There are tons of light displays, including everything from massive reindeer and Christmas ornaments to planes and trains.

Christmas lights aren’t the only thing in store for this holiday experience. You can find some furry friends from Cobb’s Adventure Park, including two Kune Kune pigs, a bunch of bunnies and even some kangaroos.

Cobb’s Adventure Park is also hosting a scavenger hunt at the event, where guests can complete their 12 Days of Christmas Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win a 2026 family pass to the park.

Visitors can find a life-sized, furnished gingerbread house made with real gingerbread, and Frosty’s Snowzone, complete with fake snowballs and falling snow, perfect for an awesome indoor snowball fight.

Guests can write letters to Santa Claus and deliver them right to the North Pole with Holiday Wonder’s Santa Claus Mailbox, and even stop by for photo opportunities with the big man himself.

For those seeking holiday treats, the festival features a Christmas market offering a variety of seasonal food and drinks for purchase. With over one million lights and countless life-sized festive displays, Holiday Wonder is sure to be an unforgettable outing for the whole family.
