10 photos from the freak hail storm and flash flooding in Calgary

After seeing the first few pieces of hail fall from the sky, heavy hail and rain followed. Calgarians and visitors went for cover under anything they could find. Boaters tried to escape the storm by going to the edges of the river to seek shelter under the trees.
The Calgary streets in the Southwest region became flooded with rain, and downtown was hit hard with hail. Calgary Stampede was also hit hard and fast by the storm making people take cover.
