Calgary’s Grey Cup is getting a major country music presence.

Riley Green has been announced as the headliner for the halftime show when the 113th Grey Cup comes to McMahon Stadium on Nov. 15.

The multi-platinum country singer-songwriter will take the stage during the CFL’s championship game, adding another major name to what is shaping up to be a star-studded day of entertainment in Calgary.

Green has become one of country music’s biggest names in recent years, earning six No. 1 hits at Canadian country radio, including “There Was This Girl” and “Worst Way.” He also won three major awards at the 2025 CMA Awards for his collaboration with Ella Langley, “You Look Like You Love Me.”

The singer also has a unique connection to football, having played quarterback at Jacksonville State University before pursuing his music career.

While Green will headline the halftime show, he won’t be the only major performer at the championship game.

Canadian music icon Sarah McLachlan will perform “O Canada” before kickoff, with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds also making their final Grey Cup flyover. Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor will perform a special pre-game set, while the James Barker Band will close out the pre-game festivities with the SiriusXM Grey Cup Kickoff Show.

For Blue Rodeo, the appearance will be a return to familiar territory. The band previously performed at the 2009 Grey Cup in Calgary.

The entertainment won’t be limited to game day, either.

The Grey Cup Festival will take over Calgary from Nov. 11 to 14, with Stampede Park hosting concerts, family activities, football-related events, and other entertainment before the official game gets underway on Sunday.

The highly anticipated outing is scheduled for Nov. 15, with kickoff set for 5 p.m. MT.

The game and halftime show will be broadcast nationally on TSN, CTV, RDS, and Crave, with the Grey Cup also available internationally through CFL+.
