Gerry Dee, star of the popular Canadian TV show mr. d, is bringing his standup comedy tour to Calgary, playing the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino on August 27.
Dee, who is also known for his appearances on Last Comic Standing and Just For Laughs, announced a host of new Canadian tour dates on Tuesday.
On June 11, Dee is also playing a comedy benefit in Toronto in support of Fort MacMurray. All proceeds go to the Canadian Red Cross relief efforts in the wildfire-ravaged community.
A former sportsman and teacher, Dee’s act draws heavily on the comic potential of institutional learning and the inherently funny dynamic of teacher and students.
