Calgary International Airport axes free parking

Dec 19 2017, 11:06 am

You can no longer park for 30 minutes at the Calgary International Airport for free, according to the airport’s website.

Short term P1 and P2 ask for a fee of $3 for the first 30 minutes, and for the second 30 minutes, you will pay an added fee of $4.50. Each additional 30 minutes after the first hour you’ll pay an additional $7.95 up to a daily maximum rate of $49.95.

For P1 long term, P2 long term, and overnight, there’s an hourly rate of $10 with a daily maximum rate of $27.95. The weekly maximum for parking is $119.95.

If you’re just going to the airport to pick someone up, there’s still the free park-and-wait cellphone lot where you can wait until your guests arrive. As for parking you’ll just have to pay – even if it’s just a quick dash in and out.
