Fort McMurray Relief Gala in Calgary aims to raise $100,000

As more and more news about the devastation caused by wildfires in Fort McMurray comes to light, one group hopes to raise $100,000 for relief efforts.

Enerknight Media is hosting a Fort McMurray Relief Gala for Calgarians, where 100% of the proceeds will be donated directly to the Red Cross.

In addition, because the Red Cross was chosen as the preferred charity, the provincial government will be matching the gala contributions dollar for dollar.

Early bird tickets are on sale now for $75 a piece and include three drink tickets.

Oh, and dust off your tuxedos and ball gowns, the affair is strictly black tie.
