The Calgary Flames are making sure to have as much fun as possible before the 2025-26 season wraps up.
The Flames picked up their second-straight win against the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers on Friday night, walking away with a 4-1 victory. Even with the win, however, they sit nine points back of a playoff spot.
Rather than get frustrated with the way the season has gone, they are keeping things light and having a blast doing so. That was very apparent before Friday night’s game even began, as Blake Coleman, Joel Farabee, and Morgan Frost had a hilarious moment in warmups that quickly blew up online.
Every warm up routine has a story behind it. I do have some questions about this one… 😂 pic.twitter.com/zV6c5f1gGD

“We’re just dumb,” a smiling Coleman said postgame. “We’ve got a few things going on. They kind of remind me of Harry and Lloyd and I just wanted to be a part of their little crew. We’ve been doing that for awhile.”
The great news for all who found this funny and entertaining is that it doesn’t sound as though it will be going away anytime soon.
“Beezer and I, our whole time playing together we just kind of make stuff up on the go,” Frost explained. “I don’t really remember how it started, but Colesy got in there. There’s some weird stuff going on.
“It’s interesting. Just something fun that we do. Colesy’s a guy that we both look up to, and we both have a lot of fun with him. I don’t really know how to explain it, but it just happens.”
What’s been impressive with this Flames group is that despite being sellers at the deadline, they have continued to compete even with playoffs out of reach. It’s a positive sign regarding the culture for a team that is building towards the future.
“We’ve got lots of good people in our room,” head coach Ryan Huska said. “You lose some good people, but we brought some good people in. There is still a veteran presence that we have, and the guys we brought in are excited to be playing. I think that matters for our team.”
The Flames have now completed two of a six-game homestand. Their next outing will come on Sunday night in what will be a tough test versus one of the NHL’s best in the Tampa Bay Lightning.
