Fire Aid for Fort McMurray benefit concert announced for June 29

Award-winning Canadian music artists like Blue Rodeo, Nickelback, Dear Rouge, Corb Lund, and Randy Bachman will join together to perform at a major benefit concert in support of the residents of Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo who have been affected by the catastrophic wildfires.

Fire Aid for Fort McMurray, which will take place on June 29 at the Commonwealth Stadium, is being presented by the volunteers of Alberta’s Fire Aid Organizing Committee, who have been working to help to rebuild the devastated city. Members of the committee include many notable Alberta community leaders including Oilers Entertainment Group CEO and Vice Chair, Bob Nicholson; Edmonton Eskimos Football Club President, Len Rhodes; and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Mayor, Melissa Blake.

Tickets for Fire Aid for Fort McMurray will go on sale on Monday, May 30. All proceeds will directly go towards the Fort McMurray United Way in their efforts to rebuild the devastated area.
