According to the Calgary Herald, Fargo’s executive producer Noah Hawley told journalists and FX John Landgrad and executive producers Littlefield and John Cameron in a conference call, that the plan is to return to Alberta to shoot Season three.

“It’s certainly our plan to,” Hawley says.
“We’ve had a great production experience up there for both seasons and have trained our crew and our departments to make the show Fargo and certainly our goal is to come back and do it again.”
Unfortunately for fans, Hawley also announced that season three won’t premiere until 2017.
“It’s a winter show, for better or worse, and this winter, there is no time to shoot another year before this winter is over,” Hawley.
It’s also very important to me and my other producers, I think one of the strengths of the show is that we separate the writing from the production and we really take our time and we break the whole story and we write eight of the 10 hours at least and we end up up there knowing exactly what we’re doing, exactly what the whole story is. We’re going through the writing process now. I’ve written the first hour and we’re about half-way through breaking the season and we’ll be writing over the next few months with the idea that we’ll go into production, much like our first year, we’ll be shooting in November and hopefully back on the air in the Spring of 2017, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

No Fargo season 3 until 2017. This makes me sad but the more time for them to write and shoot can only mean good things. — SleighMyDiction (@EatMyDiction1) December 16, 2015
Just learned @FargoFX won’t be back until at least 2017… bummed. But man worth the wait. Take your time, make it as awesome as #1 and #2!
