Calgary could sure use the precipitation, but the forecast for the Easter long weekend in the city is shaping up to be a wet one for our days off.

Why can’t it rain during the work week, Mother Nature?

Looking at the forecast for Calgary from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), we are due to see a few flurries today, and a chilly overnight low of -4°C to kick off the long weekend.

Friday is the only dry day in the long weekend forecast, so you’d better get out and enjoy it, Calgary! We are forecast to see a high of 16°C and stay above the freezing mark overnight.

The rain hits on Saturday and sticks around for the rest of the weekend. If you’re lucky enough to get Easter Monday off, you’ll still need an umbrella then, too.

The rain is forecast to end on Tuesday, when temperatures are also set to rise to more average territory as we dance through the mid-week.
