Magnitude 4.3 earthquake strikes near Red Deer, Alberta

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake rocked central Alberta near Red Deer early Sunday morning.

According to Earthquakes Canada, the quake had a depth of 10 kilometres and was 93 km from Red Deer and 134 km southwest of Edmonton.

The quake comes six days after a 4.6 magnitude quake hit nearby. That seismic event is believed to be one of the largest earthquakes to ever hit south-central Alberta.

No injuries or damage have been reported.
