Dragons' Den to hold open auditions in Calgary

Dec 19 2017, 11:02 am

Have a business idea you need to secure funding for? CBC’s Dragons’ Den will be stopping in Calgary this February for open auditions.

The show, minus its esteemed ‘Dragons’ Jim Treliving, Michael Wekerle, Michele Romanow, Joe Mimran, and Manjit Minhas, will be in town on February 18, 2016 to hear pitches from budding entrepreneurs. Participants of any age, with businesses at any stage of development, are welcome to pitch.

While you may be familiar with how the auditions appear on TV, in real life, participants are asked to pitch their business to show producers in five minutes or less. If producers like what they hear, the entrepreneurs may be asked to face the Dragons in Toronto and appear on television.

To secure at spot at the Calgary auditions, apply online and bring your completed application form to the audition.

Dragons’ Den is currently in its 10th season and has since spawned the U.S. spin-off Shark Tank.
