Discounted transit passes available during the Stampede

As if the Stampede couldn’t get any better, you can now get there cheaply as well.

You can pre-purchase transit day passes for the duration of the Stampede in July for about 30% off. The passes will be valid for the entire day to get you anywhere you need to be in Calgary.

The rate for adults will be $6.50, down from $9.50, and youth passes will be $4.50, down from $6.75.

Discounted transit passes between July 7 and 17 are available now at Calgary Transit customer service centres, 7-Eleven and Mac convenience stores, and Safeway.

All you need to do to validate the pass is scratch the day you’ll be travelling prior to boarding a CTrain or bus, and it will be valid until 4 am the following day.
