The world’s largest bartending competition is holding the global finals in Toronto, and to celebrate Canada’s leading role in the hospitality industry, there will be special World Class Cocktail Festival events taking place in Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, and yes — Calgary.

World Class is a prestigious, multi-year cocktail competition that unites global tastemakers, up-and-coming bartending talent at the top of their game, and best-in-class luxury spirits brands from Diageo.
This is the first time Toronto has hosted talent from over 50 countries for the Diageo World Class Global Final — but it’s no new undertaking for Canadian bartenders. In fact, with four global winners, Canada is the best-performing nation in the competition’s 16-year history.

To spread the love and build excitement, Diageo World Class is hosting an immersive cocktail experience in cities across Canada, where international talent teams up with top Canadian bartenders at esteemed local bars.
In Calgary, that bar will be Proof. As one of Canada’s most decorated cocktail bars, Proof prides itself on giving everyone who enters the space a stellar experience.
On Friday, Sept. 26, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Canadian host Jeff Savage will team up with guest bartender Orlando Marzo to deliver specialty cocktail features you won’t want to miss.
