New restaurant and bar The Derrick Gin Mill & Kitchen opened up its doors recently with a menu comprised of traditional classics, smoked meats, and gin-focused drinks.
Under the direction of Chef Marc Bourgeois, The Derrick Gin Mill & Kitchen takes its place on Stephan Avenue where Eldorado once resided, and dishes up a range of bar snacks, dinner plates, and late night eats, which are all designed to pair up with mixologists Savanna Beach and Shelby Goodwin’s gin-forward libations.

Gin enthusiasts will adore the place. The Beltline eatery and drinking den has a whopping 40 gins to its name. A fun and approachable drinks list has been designed by Beach, Goodwin and restaurant owner, Nathan Newman. Food wise, the menu lists enticing offerings like smoked beef tartare, truffled mushrooms on toast, house-smoked salmon bagels, peppercorn beef burgers, Montreal smoked meat sandwiches, fried chicken and grits, and more.
The 85-seat eatery also offers a breakfast/brunch menu, which is available throughout the work week until 11 a.m., and a lively happy hour in the evenings. Enjoy old school hiphop, RnB, blues, funk, and soul tunes in the The Derrick Gin Mill & Kitchen’s welcoming surrounds.
