Nestor and Stepanek lose in Australian Open doubles final

One day after Andy Murray ruined Canada’s chances at the Australian Open in men’s singles, his brother did the same in men’s doubles.

Jamie Murray and his partner Bruno Soares, the 7th seed in this tournament, defeated Canada’s Daniel Nestor and his partner Radek Stepanek to capture the men’s doubles championship. Just like Milos Raonic, Nestor and Stepanek did not go down without a fight.

Nestor and Stepanek, who were unseeded and are 43 and 37-years-old respectively, lost in 3 sets (2-6, 6-4, 7-5).

This is the first Grand Slam title for Murray and Soares.
