Daily Hive acquires creative agency Colony Digital

Daily Hive is proud to announce the acquisition of creative agency Colony Digital.

As our new creative arm, Colony will work with our team out of HQ in Vancouver to accelerate Daily Hive’s products and applications for social, mobile, desktop, and video.

“We have worked with Colony Digital on campaigns in the past, and have been very impressed with their creative skills,” says Karm Sumal, CEO and Co-founder at Daily Hive. “Colony adds a missing piece to Daily Hive, giving us the ability to handle both the creation and execution of campaigns across the country, so it made perfect sense.”

Over the past few years, Daily Hive has worked to be ahead of the curve when it comes to content and social, and the addition of Colony only ensures further advances in both areas, particularly regarding digital products.

“Daily Hive is that outlet that’s taking over Canada, in the digital sense, and very few others have been able to do that,” says Alex Harvey, CEO and Co-founder at Colony Digital. “Not many have the combination of reach and creative capability to make brands effective, but they do. With Colony’s injection of industry-leading talent, Daily Hive will now be able to build brands through services like web, e-commerce, and application development, digital marketing, print design, social media management, photography, and videography.

Since launching in June 2016, Daily Hive has taken steps to develop new channels, such as video, Dished, Urbanized, and more. Colony is yet another step on the journey towards connecting cities around the world.
