Registration is officially open for the 2018 Cowboy’s Cookoff Invitational, Canada’s biggest BBQ festival.
50 teams from across the province will test their skills and compete in this inaugural “thrill of the grill”, all-day cook-off on Monday, July 9, 2018.
This event is a celebration of Alberta farmers and the best rangeland, grains, beef, and pork they have to offer.

People are invited to get a team of 10 together and get in on this sizzling competition, it’s a delicious way to support Alberta farmers.
Each participating team will be supplied two pounds of side pork ribs and/or 12 pounds of Alberta beef brisket. Every team that signs up will also receive 10 BBQ Pit passes, 10 weekend chute passes (two people can enter per pass), and 50 spectator tickets.
Proceeds from this event will go towards Alberta farmers. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on new details about the event as they arrive, such as spectator tickets and exact times.
