If you shop at Costco Canada, you might want to check your freezer for a product that’s part of a new food recall.

On Thursday, Costco Canada announced the voluntary recall of the Shoyu Ramen with Chicken Bowls and shared a statement from the food manufacturer.

“Ajinomoto Foods North America, in cooperation with the USDA and CFIA, announced a voluntary recall of select lots of Shoyu Ramen with Chicken Bowls due to the potential presence of glass in the product,” reads the notice.

According to the company, as of March 5, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries due to consuming the affected product.

The frozen ramen bowls were sold at Costco locations across Canada between December 2024 and February 2026. The recalled products also feature best-before dates between May 24, 2026, and May 10, 2027 — details that can be found printed on the side of the box or on individual packages in the format YY MM DD (year, month, day). The box contains six bowls of ramen and weighs around 1.6 kg.

If you find that you have the recalled ramen bowls, do not consume, serve, or distribute them. Customers can bring it to a Costco warehouse to return it and receive a full refund.

This is the second recall issued by the same manufacturer in recent weeks.

On Feb. 20, Costco Canada published a recall notice from Ajinomoto Foods North America, alerting customers who may have purchased the Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice to a similar issue.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Ajinomoto Foods North America is issuing a voluntary recall of the Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice due to potential glass contamination,” reads the statement.
