
A total of 102 people are in Alberta hospitals as a result of COVID-19.
The new number was part of the Province of Alberta’s July 22 update on the coronavirus situation, which also reported that there had been an additional 133 new cases detected in the past 24 hours.

This brings the province’s total to 9,861, with 1,251 active.
Of the 102 hospitalizations, 18 are in intensive care, roughly three times more than had been seen when ICU admissions were at their lowest back in June.
Two more Albertans died with the coronavirus since July 21, bringing Alberta’s total fatalities to 174.
The majority of Alberta’s active cases are found in Calgary, with 635 as of last reporting.
