Alberta reports 230 new confirmed coronavirus cases in past three days

There is now a total of 8,826 cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, with 230 cases detected between Friday and Sunday alone.

Broken down further, the province said this includes 62 new cases on Friday, 96 on Saturday, and 72 on Sunday.

Of the active cases, there are 267 in the Calgary health zone, 199 in the Edmonton zone, 35 in the central zone, 110 in the south zone, and 53 in the north zone. The province said it has also recorded another death related to the virus.

Of the province’s total number of recorded cases, 676 active are considered active, and 7,989 are now considered recovered.
