Excelsior, True Believers! Stan Lee, famed co-creator of iconic characters such as the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and many more, will appear at Calgary Expo 2016.
Calgary Expo made the announcement via their Facebook page, saying Lee will attend the convention April 29 to May 1. Lee will participate in spotlight panels, as well as photo ops with fans.
Lee’s plans to attend Calgary Expo 2015 were foiled by last minute production schedule changes, but in an impassioned video posted to his Facebook page assured fans he would “move Heaven and earth” to attend this year – a claim he appears to have made good on.
“Stan Lee is one of the most popular and prolific guests we’ve ever had and probably ever will have,” said Expo host and spokesperson Emily Expo, in a news release. “We know how much it disappointed him to have to cancel last year and we’re honoured that he will include Calgary in his plans as he wraps up his convention career in Canada this year. We cannot wait to welcome him back to Calgary Expo.”
