Calling all Alberta bartenders and cocktail connoisseurs!

Mixology Masters is bringing the art of cocktail making to Calgary in an exciting new TV show.

The show will put mixologists head-to-head in a competition to determine whose shaking, stirring, and pouring skills are superior when it comes to creating unique beverages.

Oh, and did we mention the $5,000 prize for the overall winner?

Shooting is scheduled to run from May 17 to June 16, and each contestant will appear on up to seven episodes, with one episode filmed per day right here in Calgary. Each episode will consist of two challenges – one technical and one timed.

The competition will take place over five rounds, during which contestants will have to put a variety of skills to the test, from their knowledge of cocktails to thinking on their feet.

Competitors will be recreating classics, combining unusual ingredients, and utilizing complicated techniques in order to craft some of the most creative cocktails around.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, audition for the Mixology Masters by filming a short video to tell producers a bit about yourself and why you are interested in being on the show.

The showrunner also asks that applicants send along a few photos of cocktails they have created. Submissions can be sent via email to [email protected], with February 24 being the deadline for applications.

Mixology Masters encourages Albertans of all skill levels to audition and show off our local bartending scene!
