Cluck 'n' Cleaver to bring quality fried chicken to the Beltline District

Dec 19 2017, 10:57 am

Calgary’s Beltline District is about to gain a new foodie addition, thanks to newcomer Cluck ‘n’ Cleaver–a casual spot offering take-out Southern fried and French-style rotisserie chicken.

Nicole Gomes of Nicole Gourmet and Top Chef Canada season three, is spearheading this fast-casual concept eatery with her sister, Francine Gomes, which is slated to open at the end of February.

Combining Nicole’s 20 plus years of expertise in the kitchen, and Francine’s love of raising chickens, Cluck ‘n’ Cleaver is sure to become a delicious and sought-after chicken joint.

Unsurprisingly, it’s going to be all about the bird at this Beltline eatery. Cluck ‘n’ Cleaver’s chicken, which will be supplied by local Alberta farms, will be offered by the piece (Southern-style fried chicken) and in quarter, half, and whole portions (rotisserie birds).

Alongside the eatery’s mouthwatering chicken eats, Cluck ‘n’ Cleaver will also offer a range of comforting salads and sides, including Egg and Potato, Slaw, Hand Cut French Fries, and handmade Buttermilk Biscuits. Also on the menu, vintage sodas, milkshakes, and house-made cookies.

Wanting to produce high quality food quickly, Cluck ‘n’ Cleaver will specialize in take away and online orders only. Although the building was completely gutted and renovated, it will not provide seating.
