Some details about this job: Reporting to the city treasurer & deputy chief financial officer, the deputy director is accountable for the strategic direction and operational management of seven Finance divisions in alignment with the Corporate Strategy and Department objectives. The deputy director will lead the team of finance managers responsible for the consistent operation and continuous improvement of accounting and financial systems; to drive the achievement of long-term capital and operating budgets and asset, reserves, and debt management.
Calgary Police Service – Senior Forensic Identification Analyst
Salary: $42.62 to $56.97 per hour
Some details about this job: As a senior forensic identification analyst in the Investigative Support Section, you will use various measurements or processes to establish the identity of persons under the authority of the Identification of Criminals Act. Primary duties include obtaining fingerprints, palm prints, mug shot photographs and descriptive information of all persons charged with indictable offences under the Criminal Code of Canada, and obtaining blood samples or buccal samples from convicted persons for inclusion in the National DNA Data Bank.
Safe Workplace Strategist
Salary: $44.76 to $59.84 per hour
Some details about this job: As a Safe Workplace strategist supporting Water Services, you will be responsible for providing support and advice to various teams and committees across the Operational Services department. LRT Signals Engineer

Some details about this job: Reporting to the leader of Signalling Systems, this position is responsible for the design, modifications and maintenance and operations of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Signal System. Primary duties include things like preparing detailed LRT Signals designs and managing LRT Signals projects and contracts.
Infrastructure Investment Analyst
Salary: $113,400 to $141,700 per year

Parks Ecologist

Some details about this job: As a Parks ecologist with Environment Planning and Policy, a section within Climate and Environment, you will be responsible for the conservation planning of Calgary’s natural landscapes and biodiversity. Primary duties include providing subject matter expertise in the areas of ecology and natural areas management in City planning and policy initiatives, development application reviews and site inspections, and local area planning (e.g., Area Structure Plans, Local Area Plans).
Welder Journeyperson 1 (Shop)
Salary: $45.95 to $50.89 per hour
Some details about this job: As a Journeyperson 1 Welder (Shop), you will be responsible for performing welding repairs and fabricating new parts using various metals such as aluminum and stainless steel. Primary duties include meeting with customers to identify their needs, including deadlines; reviewing and discussing drawings and blueprints and providing estimates on required time and materials; and performing welding, including disassembling parts, inspecting damage, determining the cut list, and preparing surfaces to be welded (for example: grinding, using a wire brush and cleaning surfaces).
