City of Calgary hosting free climate change webinars this fall

The City of Calgary is offering a free way to learn while on your lunch break.

The Climate Change Webinar Series is a free, ongoing virtual webinar featuring expert guest speakers touching on climate change topics ranging from electric vehicles to home energy efficiency.

The one-our-a-week sessions run every other Tuesday from noon to 1 pm, and registration is currently available for six different sessions.

Here’s the schedule:

Tuesday, September 29: So, you’re curious about electric vehicles?

Tuesday, October 13: Climate Change 101

Tuesday, November 3: Active Transportation: Bike Commuting in Calgary

Tuesday, November 17: Home Energy Efficiency

Tuesday, December 1: Preparing for Climate Change

Tuesday, December 15: Switching to Renewable Energy

Participants can choose to either join only the sessions they are interested in or all six.

The webinars will also be recorded and posted to the City of Calgary’s website, so you’ll be able to check them out even if you miss the live session.
