Kane’s Harley Diner
A real Calgary classic, Kane’s is a real throwback ’50s-style diner in historic Inglewood. Oh, and it’s located inside a former Harley-Davidson Dealership. You’ll find tons of great greasy spoon eats under $10 here, from breakfast sandwiches and pancakes in the morning, to burgers, stacked sammies, and their signature macaroni and cheese at lunch and dinner.

Blackfoot Truckstop Diner
Calgarians have been enjoying the diner fare and low-key vibe of Blackfoot for years, and with good reason. This 24-hour joint serves up great breakfast plates like omelettes and pancakes, as well as reliable burgers, salads, sandwiches, soups, and sides at lunchtime. (Dinner prices are in the $12 to $15 range). Don’t forget to order a slice of pie!

Belmont Diner
For something a little more upscale in the diner department, the Belmont Diner fits the bill, and has a couple of great menu options that are $10 or less (or just a bit more). For breakfast, try their B.O.B. (Breakfast on a Bun), which is egg, melted cheese, grilled tomatoes and choice of bacon, beef sausage or ham, served with hashbrowns, or their $10.25 Traditional Breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. For lunch, plates run in the pricier $12 to $15 range, but come with endless hashbrowns…hello, awesome!

Beloved for being a small, family-run hole-in-the-wall diner, John’s Breakfast and Lunch serves up affordable, tasty diner-style eats (with a bit of Asian thrown in). Load up on egg-centric breakfast classics, burgers, or get cozy with a bowl of wonton soup. This spot is definitely a no-frills hidden gem.
