Health Canada has issued a recall on certain cauliflower and red and green leaf lettuce produced by Adam Bros. Farming Inc. due to possible E. Coli contamination.

The products below have been sold in New Brunswick, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and possibly nationally.

While there have been no reported illnesses so far, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is asking distributors to remove the recalled products from the marketplace.

You can’t see, smell or taste E. Coli, so it’s difficult to know if a product is contaminated. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea.

In severe cases of illness, some people may have seizures or strokes, need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis, or obtain permanent kidney damage. Severe illness can also result in death.

If you think you or a loved one became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.
