Popular Calgary cocktail bar is closing its doors ahead of a huge rebrand

Before the year is out, a Calgary cocktail bar has announced it will close its doors on December 31.
Cannibale, the cocktail bar and barbershop concept in Calgary’s Bridgeland neighbourhood, will officially close its doors on New Year’s Eve, ahead of a rebrand in 2025.
“Cannibale as we all know it will be closing at the end of this year,” the bar said in an Instagram post in December.
The spot, which is known for its wide selection of house cocktails, has been a long-standing favourite in the neighbourhood.

However, Cannibale won’t be leaving the scene without a bang. On December 31, the spot will throw a huge party, featuring negronis, Aperol spritzes, and live music.
“Thank you all so much for loving this little bar and making it so special. The people are what makes this place so memorable. We can’t wait to see you in 2025 with a fresh new look,” the bar added in an Instagram post.
While we’re sad to see this iteration of Cannibale close, we’re certainly excited to see what the future holds.
