Canmore Folk Music Festival, the longest running folk music festival in Alberta, is back for another year!
Some 21,000 music fans are expected to flock to the festival, which runs from Saturday, July 30 to Monday, August 1, over the Heritage Day long weekend.
In downtown Centennial Park in the heart of Canmore’s valley bottom, festivalgoers will be surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the majestic Rocky Mountains.
This year, the festival features 18 acts and performers on three stages. Headliners include:
Milk Carton Kids
Matt Andersen
Basia Bulat
Sam Baker
Adrian Nation
Workshop stages will also blend eclectic mixings of musicians from disparate and diverse backgrounds, creating a unique sound for festivalgoers.
The festival is also proudly family-friendly and alcohol-free, with a free street dance on the Friday evening and a kids’ area with puppets, theatre and a bouncy castle.
