Canada Day is nearly upon us, and what better way to celebrate our nation’s birthday than where Calgary began: at Fort Calgary.
Fort Calgary will host a variety of free family-friendly activities from live music to food trucks, and even a petting zoo.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi will even make a little appearance.
Here’s the full schedule:
- 9 am: Free pancake breakfast for visitors in the big tent. All other programming, including the petting zoo and kids’ crafts, will begin.
- 10 am: Opening ceremonies with Mayor Nenshi in the big tent.
- 10:45 am: Lion Dance presentation, followed by live music in the big tent.
- Noon: Living flag activity and Canadian Mosaic Photographs
Keep your eyes peeled for indigenous artisans as well.
