Well folks, it’s almost here.

Canada has officially been a Confederation for 150 years – and that’s a big number by North American standards – so it’s time for us Canucks to celebrate this milestone the best way we know how, eating and drinking all the patriotic goodies we can get our hockey-playing-syrup-loving hands on!

This occasion is so big that everyone is doing something special to make July 1 the most delicious day in Canadian history.

67. Canada 150 Happy Hour menu at Hy’s Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar

This menu will be offered in the Hy’s Calgary lounge Monday to Friday from 3 to 7 pm until August 31. Patrons can looks forward to ordering some on Hy’s Canada 150 Cocktails, along with bites like Canadian Prime Beef Sliders, Maple Cured Bacon & Eggs, and “Last Best” Marinated Prime Tender Pops.

Called the Red Racer Across the Nation Collaboration 12-pack, this once every century-and-a-half kind of release contains a special beer from a brewer in each province that was created just for the occasion, and brewed at Central City’s Surrey, BC facilities.

Hy’s has created five regionally-inspired cocktails available at all of it’s locations to celebrate Canada 150. The Muskoka Dream, Portage & Main, Spirits of the West, Coastal Wave, and Alpine Glow are all up for order until August 31.
