Calgary's first week of July will see mix of rain and sunshine

Mother Nature simply cannot make up her mind out here in Calgary.

The first week of July is expected to run the gamut from some significant rainfall to some stunningly sunny days.

It might not be the blisteringly hot Stampede days we’re usually expecting around this time of year — thanks to the weather but also COVID-19 — but there are still a few solid opportunities to grab a patio beer, regardless.

The week starts off with a chance of showers on Monday afternoon, according to The Weather Network’s seven-day forecast, along with a high of 17°C.

Tuesday will be the wettest of the entire week, bringing 10 to 15 mm of rainfall, a high of 19°C, and around 10 hours of sunshine.

Wednesday follows suit by being a little more consistently rainy, with just four hours of sunshine and a high of 16°C, but will bring slightly less rainfall than its predecessor at 5 to 10 mm.

Not exactly the most exciting Canada Day, if we’re being honest.

However, there is some hope on the horizon, as Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are all expected to be full of sunshine with highs reaching up to 22°C by Saturday.

Sunday brings another 5 to 10 mm of rainfall though sits pretty at 20°C.

Let’s just hope the rest of July is a little drier, shall we?
