Calgary to see double-digit temperatures this weekend after days of flurries

The weather in Calgary hasn’t been the greatest over the past few days, but it looks as though the weekend temperatures are about to make up for that.

It’s currently -6ºC in the city, feeling more like -11ºC, and snowing.

According to The Weather Network, the snow is expected to continue throughout Thursday afternoon and evening, but it will taper off overnight, and Friday will see a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 7ºC.

Temperatures are predicted to continue to rise in Calgary moving into the weekend, melting the snow that we’ve seen on and off through the week.

Saturday is forecast to be mainly sunny and 11ºC, while Sunday gets even warmer with a high of 13ºC and more sunshine.

Heading into next week, it looks like things are going to cool off again, bringing more snow to Calgary.

Monday will see a high of -3ºC and snow, and there could be up to three centimetres of the white fluffy stuff headed our way.

Tuesday and Wednesday see more spring-appropriate weather, with mainly sunny skies and a high of 8ºC by mid-week.

Things warm up again by next Thursday, with more double-digit temperatures and a high of 10ºC coming our way.

Let’s hope that the nice weather streak continues into next weekend, so that we get another few sunny Calgary days to enjoy patio beers and walks in the fresh air.
