Calgary weather planning to warm up to 15°C later this week

Nov 12 2019, 5:21 pm

Calgary may still be covered in snow from our last dust up with Mother Nature, but all that while stuff could very well be melted away by the end of the week.

Environment Canada’s weekly weather forecast is calling for some warm days ahead out here in YYC, with temperatures reaching well above freezing for the majority of the next few days.

The skies start out a little grey this Tuesday, though Wednesday will brighten things up with nothing but sunshine and highs of 6°C.

Wednesday night will be the last time this entire week — if the forecast is to be believed — that temperatures will even get to below freezing, and while Thursday will only see a measly high of 4°C, the weekend is when the real warmth comes in.

Friday will bring a high of 9°C amid a mix of sun and clouds, and Saturday will bring that up by one degree to 10°C.

Calgary weather this week (Environment Canada)

All other days of the week won’t be able to hold a candle to Sunday, which will live up to its name with sunny skies and a high of 15°C.

We expect Calgary’s patios to be open, jackets to be cast aside, and celebratory brunches to be had out in what will likely be our last warm day of 2019.

So be sure to make the most of it!
