
This weekend is going to be a weird one — at least when it comes to the weather.
While Calgary may have just been blessed with a miraculous snowfall, the temperature is actually expected to heat up by Saturday according to Environment Canada, with a high of 8°C.

But if you’re worried about that picturesque snow all melting by the new year, you’ve really got nothing to worry about. Just two days after this warm Saturday, Monday will drop down to a high (if you can call it that) of -10°C — meaning that in just over 48 hours Calgary will see a temperature shift of 18°C.
Sure, we’re used to chinooks, but this is just getting out of hand…

Sunday night will actually be the chilliest, plummeting down to -18°C.
Fast-forward to New Year’s Day and you’ll be looking at a daytime temperature of -1°C, and then the second day of 2019 is somehow back up to 7°C.
