We’ve been treated to some lovely temperatures this week in Calgary, and that little heat streak is about to come to an end.
Our daytime highs and overnight lows may have been above normal over the past little while; however,Ā as we move into June, the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecast seems to hint at a big weather change.
Calgary saw its warmest day of the year so far yesterday, reaching 31.8°C, and the warmth is set to stick around for a couple more days before things start to cool down.
Today looks like a total temperature treat for us in Calgary, with plenty of sunshine and a daytime high of 27°C.
Our hottest day over the next week comes on Saturday with a high of 29°C, but there is a chance of showers overnight, and the low for Saturday sits at 7°C.
Sunday ushers in a cooler daytime high that lasts into the early workweek, reaching 16°C and an overnight low of 6°C.
When you do the math between Saturday’s daytime high of 28°C and Sunday’s overnight low, it’s a roller coaster with a difference of 20 degrees. With how many wildfires are breaking out across the province, a little dip in the temperature will hopefully help crews tame those blazes.
