The wild weather roller coaster doesn’t seem to be coming to an end any time soon, with some dazzling temperatures in the forecast for Calgary.
So make sure you get out and enjoy some things to do in our city because our daytime highs in the forecast are set to be just as warm, or warmer, as some parts of California.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Calgary is set to see a high of 16°C this Saturday, which is hard to imagine, given how cold it has been for most of this month.

Environment and Climate Change Canada
If Saturday reaches its expected high, it will be just as warm in Calgary as in San Diego, Calif., which is currently expected to be 16°C as well, per The Weather Channel’s (TWC) forecast.
YYC will see a much nicer day, too, with sunshine compared to considerable cloudiness and winds in San Diego.

The Weather Channel
Calgary will be even warmer than the California cities of Oakland and San Francisco if the forecast holds for Saturday, with the Bright Side of the Bay and the City by the Bay both reaching 13°C in TWC’s forecast.

The Weather Channel
According to ECCC, the average high for this time of year in Calgary is 2°C, while the average low is -10°C.
As we head into March this weekend, we talked with an ECCC meteorologist about what Alberta should expect weather-wise for the month. All we will say is to keep those rubber boots handy!
