Snow on the way for Calgary with 20-degree temperature dip forecast

While the weather has picked up in Calgary, it’s looking like we’re in for some more cold weather with a 20-degree temperature dip on the way.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, Calgary may see some chilly weather soon, with temperatures dropping below freezing next week.

Friday’s daytime high of 15°C brings the hottest temperature forecast, before falling to an overnight low of zero.

Saturday follows suit with a daytime high of 14°C, before falling to 1°C at night with periods of rain expected. Sunday is much chillier, with daytime temperatures reaching just 3°C with periods of snow. The overnight temperature is forecast to drop to -4°C.

Monday warms up with temperatures reaching 14°C during the day and dropping to just 3°C at night. Tuesday is set to see daytime temperatures reach 12°C, before falling to zero overnight.

Wednesday is when the real chill comes, with the daytime high reaching just 5°C with showers forecast, before falling to a brisk -5°C with a chance of flurries, a chilly 20-degree temperature drop from Friday’s daytime high of 15°C. Thursday is set to see daytime temperatures reach 5°C.

According to ECCC, the average high for this time of year in Calgary is 11°C, and the average low is -2°C.
