Warm weather followed by a chance of snow because that's just how Calgary rolls

Feb 27 2018, 3:29 am

We’ve still got around 20 days left of winter here in Calgary, and this week’s forecast is a direct reflection of that fact.

In classic Calgary fashion, we’ll be seeing a rollercoaster of weather as we navigate from Monday through to Sunday, with sunny skies turning snowy, and temperatures all over the place.

Things start out calm enough on Monday, with a high of 1°C and a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. It’ll get a little chillier when the sun goes down, and a 30% chance of flurries can be expected.

That snowy possibility continues into Tuesday, but by Wednesday we’ll enjoy a sunny day with a high of 3°C (beach hit, anyone?).

Calgary only gets colder and colder from there, however, with Thursday night dropping down to -8°C with a 60% chance of flurries, and similar snow and temperatures through Friday and Saturday.

Sunday is expected to see a bit of sunlight – even though some clouds may be in tow – along with a high of -3°C.

Hey, we’re just happy it’s not hitting -20°C anymore… but we also wouldn’t be too mad if spring just hurried up, already!
