Snowfall warning: Up to 25 cm of additional snow for Calgary before Tuesday

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Calgary and Southern Alberta which is expected to run until Tuesday, February 7.

A weather system from the pacific coast has made it’s way to Southern Alberta. The continuous stream of moisture will cause accumulations of snow today and during the day on Monday.

Heavier accumulations of snow are expected to fall today and during the day on Monday. Anywhere from an additional 15 to 25 centimetres are possible by tomorrow night.

If that wasn’t enough to keep you indoors and curled up by your fireplace, the temperature will dip down to -19°C tonight and -26°C Monday night.
