Calgary Underground Film Festival hosting 12-hour horror movie marathon

Oct 28 2017, 5:05 am

Even if you find yourself falling asleep… it’ll be nothing but nightmares.

The Calgary Underground Film Festival is hosting a 12-hour long horror movie marathon spanning seven different titles before coming to a close at 7 am on Saturday.

Things will start off at 7 pm the night before on Friday, October 27, and anyone who makes it through the 12 straight hours will be rewarded a free breakfast.

There will be giveaways and prizes throughout the night, so the movies aren’t completely non-stop, and there will be a costume contest at midnight.

Anyone looking to join the audience Friday night will tuck in to watch Fright Night (1985), Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Halloween 3, Season of the Witch, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Final Destination 5, Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI, and Cult of Chucky.

Tickets are $20, and CUFF members get a $2 discount.

The bar is open until 2 am, and the concession will be open all night (and morning) long, just be sure to bring some cash!
