Catch flicks that defy convention at the Calgary Underground Film Festival 2016
The Calgary Underground Film Festival, or CUFF, will be showing 30 feature films at this year’s festival. It’s the 13th year the festival has been going on in Calgary and the not-for-profit organization is known for programming films that defy convention.
CUFF is also showcasing CUFFcade throughout the festival. CUFFcade is a selection of the best new local, and Canadian independent videogames. On Sunday, April 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the CUFFcade launch reception, you can meet the developers and check out the games. CUFFcade also runs throughout the festival between film screenings and is free to the public.
As an added bonus this year all the games are all made by developers in Calgary. They include:
- 3.2.1. Grenades
- Astervoid 2000
- Paradise Perfect Boat Rescue
- Seedscape
- Semispheres
If you are going to go see a screening after 3 p.m. on any day, be aware those films are 18+. Which means that you can drink beer during the screening but unfortunately no minors are permitted.
