Dec 19 2017, 11:08 am

Calgary Transit is seeking public feedback on proposed bus route changes for northwest and inner city.
According to their website, twelve routes are being reviewed and changes could be implemented later this year or early 2017.

Calgary Transit states that the goal of this review is to modify some existing routes to provide more efficient and effective service. The routes under review include Routes 8, 9, 10, 22/122, 37/137, 43/143, 145, 404, 405, 407, 412, and 419.

While considering the new proposed routes, five factors are taken into account which include avoiding duplication of service, providing higher frequency service, creating more direct routes, providing longer hours of service in evenings and weekends, and making transit more efficient by spending less and providing better service.

The review process is currently in its consulting stage, with meetings of stakeholders and community representatives from the inner city and northwest Calgary. Public input is welcome at any of Calgary Transit’s open house or pop-up information sessions. An online feedback form will be available on their website at a later date.
