Nov 24 2018, 10:18 am

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Calgary area this evening.

According to the federal meteorological agency, between 10 and 15 cm of snow is expected to be produced by a stationary band formed between Mossleigh to Calgary to Airdrie.

The band of snow will move slowly northeast over the next few hours, with the snowfall ending sometime late tonight. The hardest-hit areas will likely be northeast Calgary to Beiseker to Strathmore.

Road conditions could deteriorate quickly from rapidly accumulating snow. Drivers are advised to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead, and be prepared to stop if visibility is reduced.
